Sitges

Sitges
This is a very beautiful town by the sea. You can get there by train in 40 minutes and spend the day wandering around the old part, walking by the sea, visiting the Cau Ferrat, and -of course- eating at a good restaurant... This is the place where I'm working now. This image is from a blog: if you click on the picture, you can see more images from Sitges, El Garraf. You can see the train's time table in the place "Trains RENFE". You should take the Underground to Passeig de Gràcia and there, you better go up to the street and walk a few blocks up until you arrive to the corner with Carrer Aragó, where the train station is: this could be done walking a loooooooooooooooong corridor, but it's boring and awful!!!

Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar
This is a very nice town just 90 km far from BCN. You can get there by train (RENFE, Sants Estació) to Blanes and from there a bus to Tossa. There are also buses from BCN (Sarfa) and boats, but perhaps only in summer (I'll get informd about this) which could be a really wonderful trip. It's got three parts: a modern one that you can skip, an old part which is very nice to visit and the medieval one (Vila Vella), very beautiful at any time of the day. Some very good restaurants in this part. If you want to spend a night out from BCN, this is the place to stay: you could come one day early in the morning and leave the day after about midday and go to Girona, where you could spend the afternoon visiting the beautiful old part. Then, take the train to BCN (RENFE).

Welcome to Barcelona!!!

Hi Gaynor and Ian, I have set this Blog because I think it's handy for me to present you the information and for you to see it and keep it always visible from everywhere, so you do not need to print and organize more papers. It's also useful for us to communicate. I hope you like it. Of course, I've just started, I'll post more information about places, so, please, visit it frequently. If you have got a gmail account, I can authorise you to enter the blog, so you can make links to websites you are interested in. Just tell me. I'm looking forward to see you. I hope you have had a very nice vacation this Christmas holidays. Happy New Year to all of you!!!!

Hi Carme
What can I say!!! This is fanatastic and very geneorus of you to give up your time making this for us. What is so lovely is that you know the type of activities that we like to do and the suggestions you have made are perfect and have given us really useful and very practical information.
Many thanks I think it is brilliant and I'm sure the anticipation leading up to Easter is going to be as wonderful as the holiday.

Hi Carme,
Happy New Year.
Gaynor sent me the link to your blog. Very kind of you to put together such useful information that will help us organise an itinerary. We are looking forward to our 2nd visit to Barcelona and the chance to explore the coast nearby.
Best wishes
Ian

Hi Ian!! I think this way is better than sending pieces of information now and then. When I see something useful, I just have to post it ant that's it!!! Anyway, I'll get printed information for you, so don't worry about guides and things like that. And during your stay here, you'll be able to use the Internet as much as you need. Take care!!
